    KENDRIYA VIDYALAYA SANGATHAN (HQ) (Sports Cell)

    Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan has been providing varied opportunities to the students to support their holistic development. Games & Sports is one such activity which is carried out at multiple levels for both boys and girls. Students selected at one level participate in the meet at the next level viz., Schools participate at Cluster/Regional level, Regions participate at KVS National level and KVS teams participate in the School Games Federation of India (SGFI) / Subroto Cup International Football Tournament.

    KVS Mega Sports Festival as 53 KVS NSM, 2024 organized from 27th August, 2024 to 09th October, 2024 by 13 Regions at various places. Approximate 20000 Students, teachers and officials participated in this events at various venues from all 25 Regions and approx. 1050 Students (Boys & Girls) selected in KVS National team for participation in 68th National School Games (SGFI)2024-25.

    Remarks:- KVS participated in 22 events (boys and girls) in different age categories i.e., u-14,17 & 19 yrs.

    National Cadet Corps (NCC) Training in Kendriya Vidyalayas

    NCC aims to provide necessary military training to students of KVs and motivates them to join the Armed Forces. At present, 21227 students from KVs are enrolled in NCC. NCC was introduced in 107 KVs in the early 1970s. As of March 31, 2023, there are 339 KVs from various regions where NCC has been allotted and training is going on. About 49 KVs have approached their nearest NCC units and applied to start NCC. At present, there are 21227 cadets (12445 boys and 8782 girls) in 339 KVs across the country.

    Bharat Scouts & Guides Activities in Kendriya Vidyalayas

    The KVS State of BS&G is one of the 52 Scouting States under the Bharat Scouts and Guides. KVS BS&G is a leading and active state that takes all necessary steps to develop brotherhood and understanding among students and also to develop scouting skills. The census of KVS State BS&G and various activities taken up during 2022–23 in KVS State BS&G are as under :-
