of a nation and no doubt our Kendriya Vidyalayas
are doing an excellent job while pursuing
excellence and setting the pace in the field of
school education.
KVS is a unique organization which not only
strives for excellence in imparting education to
children but also in other areas. KVS is a
vibrant organization growing at a steady pace.
We have a significant number of teachers who can
nurture & develop the personality traits of a
child to not only make him a successful
professional but also a good human being. I
personally feel that students learn more and
behave better when they receive high level of
understanding & caring. However, we need to
look at ways of improving our education system,
enhance its performance and get better results.
In short I would say that educational system is
to be oriented to come up to the expectations of
every child, parent, teacher or Principal.
I am happy to share the news with you that
Govt. of India has approved the setting up of
107 new Kendriya Vidyalayas during the remaining
period of 11th Plan i.e. 2010-11 &
2011-12. This is a kind of recognition for KVS
for its splendid job in the field of education.
We intend to open a large number of these
vidyalayas in the current year itself.
Coming to the results of KVS, I would
appreciate the rigorous efforts of teaching
community who have kept their commitment to
excellence. Result of KVs is significantly
higher in both AISSCE and AISSE examinations in
class XII & X respectively conducted by CBSE. I
personally feel that quality of education will
determine the destiny of the nation. And for me,
education does not mean….just providing the
answers. Education empowers the students to
discover themselves. CCE scheme has helped in
improving student’s performance by identifying
his/her learning difficulties at regular time
intervals right from the beginning of the
academic session and employing suitable remedial
measures for enhancing their learning
performance.
Regular student and teacher
interaction is helping us in grooming our
students to achieve their potential in life.
I am fortunate enough to have an experienced and
committed team and I intend to build on this
strong foundation. Not only as an administrator
but as a friend I assure you of my full
commitment to the goals & objective of KVS and
hope that all of us will work for its expansion
and progress by leaps and bounds.
